There comes a time when we all must step out from behind the safety of our avatars and get really real. Today is that day for me. And I am honestly asking for your help and your feedback - if you'd be so kind.
Today I am launching a new way of sharing my story. Today is the beginning of sharing more of my story in public than I ever have. It is one of the scarier things I've done, but it is also something I am incredibly proud to do. Today, my YouTube channel goes live and I am giving you, my faithful Make Room subscribers, the first look.
Three weeks ago, I filmed with my content team from 7 am until 5 pm to get the videos that we are dropping today and then every week for the next 10 weeks. It was a grueling day, that is a lot of time talking about things I've learned - so much so that the next morning when I got to therapy I literally had nothing to say, I'd said it all the day before.
This is the first time that I am sharing not just that hard things have happened, but getting into details about what happened, why it happened, who was involved, and what happened next to make me who I am today. I'm getting vulnerable in public in hopes that some of my stories might encourage people who are going through their tough times right now. I'm sharing some cheat codes to life that I wish someone would have shared with me sooner. I am hoping that this can be a new source of encouragement for people chasing down their passions and rolling with the high highs and also the low lows.
If you're willing to help me with this launch, it'd mean a lot to me and my team. The easiest way to help is to subscribe and give a like to each video on the channel. Sharing them on your favorite social channel and tagging me is just a gratuitous ask, so we'll save that for next week.
But truthfully, the most impactful way to encourage me would be to share if something in one of the three launch videos was timely for you.
We'll get back to regularly scheduled programming next week, but this week, I hope you'll find some value in the new format for my stories told and lessons learned. So now, without further ado, here are the two videos that I hope you'll Make Room for this week.
